After nearly 4 hours at Keukenhoff, we made our way back to our airport hotel. We were preparing for the journey home. It started with a positioning flight on KLM. The ground experience at AMS was horrible. There were long lines and inefficient immigration officers. Business class lounge placement was illogical. Additionally, the gates were located miles away.
Amsterdam to London
Royal Dutch Airlines KL1021 Business Class (B737)
3:55PM – 4:15PM
We arrived in London Heathrow Terminal 4. We went through the painful experience of clearing immigration and obtaining our bags. Then, we made the journey to Terminal 2. Once there we went through the motions – checking in our bags, clearing immigration and completing the long trek to Singapore Airlines’ First Class Lounge. Once we were seated down and presented the menu the mood finally began to improve:
Tummies filled, it was shower time followed by a few more drinks in the private seating area:
We left the lounge just as an announcement was made for non-SQ First Class passengers to refrain from entering the lounge due to overcrowding.
London to Singapore
Singapore Airlines SQ319 Suites Class (A380)
8:50PM – 4:55PM (13h 5m)
There were no adjoining seats available for this flight. We have flown the product in its double-bed configuration a few times before. It was interesting to experience it with our own Row 3 seats across each other.

Watched a movie before sleeping for a good 6 hours. Somehow I think I sleep better in my own suite as compared to the double-bed configuration (mainly due to the light pollution from the wife watching her movies as she always sleep later than me 😉)

The glutton in me ordered some instant noodles, granola bar and potato chips as I began to study the lunch menu:

We arrived at Changi on time and went to The Private Room for a quick shower and some more food before collecting our baggage:

We were sufficiently stuffed. We left the lounge and collected our baggage. Then, we returned to reality as we made our way to catch our AirAsia flight home.
