2 Days in Bahrain

We started our first day in Bahrain by visiting the Bahrain Fort, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century facing the Gulf.

The ruins of 5 civilisations could be found here.

We visited the Al Fateh Grand Mosque:

We visited Bab el-Bahrain Souk. This was the gateway to Bahrain where the ships used to dock when entering Bahrain.

Pearling Path was next, tracing the origins of Bahrain’s pearl industry.

Next up was a boat ride to view Manama’s landscape.

We skipped the boat ride due to the heat and hazy conditions, ending up in a Palestinian restaurant for lunch.

Our final stop was a visit to the camel farm:

We asked to be dropped off at City Centre Bahrain shopping mall where we spent a few hours shopping and buying snacks from Carrefour.

We started the second day visiting Gold City Mall:

Had a delicious lunch nearby:

before returning to City Centre Bahrain to hunt for Bahraini pearls:

Perfect pearly ending!
