Japan Airlines consistently releases award flights for their F product close to a year out or as departure date approaches. It is a reliable way for me to plan my frequent trips between South East Asia do the United States.

Flying JL F from LAX grants access to the Qantas First Class Lounge:

The lounge gets busy quickly around noon time. I left just as the crowds began coming in. I made my way to the gate to be first on board.

I chose the Japanese meal which in hindsight was the wrong decision as catering is ex-LAX

Royal Blue Tea

The service was good. The flight had major turbulence the whole way. The cabin, as usual, was a tad too hot for my liking. Still an enjoyable flight.
