Originally an important Inca site beside the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha), Palacio del Inka was later seized by Spanish conquistadors, including Gonzalo Pizarro, and converted into the colonial Casa de los Cuatro Bustos. It subsequently served as a museum before being transformed into a luxury hotel in the 1970s, preserving original Inca walls and seamlessly blending Inca, Spanish, and modern design.
